Sport Horse Stallion Testing, LLC (a joint venture of th ISR/OLD NA and American Hanoverian Society) just released the names of the judges and guest riders for the final testing scheduled for Nov. 8 - 10th.
The expert judging panel will consist of Dietrich Felgendreher (US), Cord Wassmann (GER) and Gerd Zuther (US). While Dietrich Felgendreher and Cord Wassmann have been members of the judges panel for many years, Gerd Zuther will replace Manfred Lopp who recovers from a knee surgery and was not able to travel.
The guest riders this year are: Jessica J. Tate, Verena Stock and Fred Weber for dressage and Mike Patrik Leichle (Ger) and Rudy Leone for jumping.
Dietrich Felgendreher (GER) has resided in the U.S. since 1974. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have operated Holly Oak Farm in Midway, KY, since 1978 where they continue to maintain a warmblood breeding operation, a dressage training and sales stable and a U.S.D.A. licensed quarantine facility for imported horses. Mr. Felgendreher has served for numerous years on the Board of Directors and Approval Committee for the American Holsteiner Horse Association and currently serves on the Executive Board and Inspection Committee for the International Sporthorse Registry. His sporthorse judging assignments have included Dressage at Devon, the Canadaian Sporthorse Championship, the California Breeders Futurity, the Holsteiner Mare show in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and the 100 Day Stallion Test at November Hill Farm. In 1999, Mr Felgendreher also served as a Training Director for the ISR/Oldenburg 100 Day Stallion Test conducted in Lexington, KY.
Gerd Zuther (GER) has been in the United States for more than 20 years. He is certified as an USEF-licensed dressage sporthorse breeding judge. He is a member of the American Hanoverian Society and has served on its Mare and Stallion Committee since 1985. Gerd successfully completed the eight-year program to become a licensed riding instructor and trainer certified by the German National Federation in 1965.
